About You.
If you've found this page, chances are that at least one of the following things is true:
- You are Bob Vesterman;
- You are Mike Coless;
- You are Howard Smith;
- You have obsessively pored over the HTML source of another page from vesterman.com;
- Google thought that you would like this page;
- This page, and vesterman.com in general, seems really, really plain.
This message is for those of you who fit into the sixth category.
Why vesterman.com Looks So Plain
The reason that vesterman.com looks really, really plain is probably that you're using some wackily old browser. Lots of old browsers don't support various web standards very well, and because of that, if you want to make your web pages look pretty to the old browsers, you have to put lots of kludgy tweaks in them all over the place. So, I've decided to use a little trick that causes old browsers to display plain-looking pages, rather than have them attempt, and probably fail, to display vesterman.com in its full glory.
More information on this can be found at the Web Standards Project's Browser Upgrade Campaign.
